Replicable Practices
Velinda's K-8 Spanish Dual Immersion program with provides students the necessary skills to become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural when leaving the program.
There is a focus on providing teacher professional development on the New Pedagogies for Deep Learning instructional practices.
The school has developed a strong process in the following: MTSS, PBIS, and the Coordination of Services Team.
For the past 8 years, Valinda has implemented an afterschool robotics program that has students competing internationally in the FIRST Lego League.
