PLC Implementation: Teachers meet regularly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to design lessons, create common assessments, and analyze data to plan interventions and refine instruction.
Schoolwide Evidence-Based Instructional Strategies: The school implements AVID WICOR strategies (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading) across all subjects to ensure consistency and academic success for all students.
Comprehensive Counseling Program: Counselors deliver monthly classroom lessons on critical topics of academic success, social emotional well-being, and college/career readiness, reinforced through fun activities, parents workshops and community partnerships.
Comprehensive ELD Instruction and Support: All staff are trained in SIOP strategies, to support English Learner Progress in language acquisition and reclassification support.
PBIS Implementation: Schoolwide expectations are explicitly taught and reinforced through schoolwide lessons, BARK Bucks, Positive Behavior Referrals, and restorative practices that emphasize responsibility, reflection, and growth over punishment.
