  • Higher-Order Thinking – Promote rigorous instruction through varied questioning, student perseverance, metacognition (reflection), and problem-based learning.

  • Formative Assessment – Regularly monitor student learning by setting clear learning intentions, using success criteria, collecting evidence, and providing constructive feedback.

  • Student-Centered Learning – Encourage active student participation, collaboration, curiosity, and self-reflection to deepen understanding and engagement in learning.
