At Edwards, we successfully implement Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to promote collaboration and improve student outcomes by utilizing common formative assessments and timely data reflections.
At Edwards, our commitment to professional development ensures consistent, high-quality instruction and continuous growth for all certificated and classified staff through targeted training sessions, book studies, outside consultants, and staff-wide professional development facilitated by our guided coalition (PLC leads), with a focus on evidence-based strategies like differentiated instruction, culturally responsive teaching, and data-driven decision-making.
At Edwards, we utilize learning walks to foster collaboration, share effective instructional strategies, spark interdisciplinary connections, and provide actionable feedback through open classroom visits, debriefs, and celebrations of success.
At Edwards, we promote a positive school culture by fostering respect, collaboration, and shared accountability. To create an inclusive environment, we incorporate a school-wide theme suggested by staff and students into messages, weekly video reports, and activities.
At Edwards, we value the role of sports, student-led clubs, and extracurricular activities in fostering teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. We provide equitable opportunities for community engagement by encouraging our students to explore their passions, connect with our school community beyond the classroom, and grow into well-rounded individuals.
